Boys and girls are housed in completely separate hardware secure areas. The county assesses a fee of $150 per day to the legal guardian of a child admitted to the Juvenile Court's Detention Center. While in the Detention Center, all children are required to attend the daily Greater Opportunities for Additional Learning (GOAL) Program designed to teach life skills and expose children to alternative programs and resources available in the local community. Children are visited daily by their assigned court officer, who updates them as to the status of their case. Boys Detention has 114 individual hardware secure rooms and Girls Detention has 21 individual hardware secure rooms
